Ralph Schwieger
Ralph Schwieger is a German-born perfumer who trained at the Roure Bertrand Dupont school in Grasse. He spent a significant portion of his career at Givaudan and later joined Mane, where he gained recognition for his technical precision and unconventional approach to fragrance composition. His work is often characterized by a balance between classic structure and modern, experimental nuances.
Schwieger is perhaps best known for creating Frédéric Malle's iconic Lipstick Rose, a fragrance celebrated for its nostalgic, powdery violet and rose profile. His diverse portfolio includes notable collaborations with brands such as Hermès, for which he co-created Eau des Merveilles, as well as works for Atelier Cologne, Etat Libre d'Orange, and A Lab on Fire.
