Ernest Beaux

Ernest Beaux was a Russian-born perfumer who became one of the most influential "noses" of the early 20th century. He trained in Grasse, France, and worked for major fragrance houses including Fritzsche Bros. and Chanel, where he created some of the most iconic fragrances in perfumery history.

Beaux is best known for composing Chanel No. 5, the groundbreaking fragrance launched in 1921, which revolutionized perfumery with its aldehydic composition and modern sensibility.
