Jeannine Mongin
Jeannine Mongin was a French perfumer who spent the majority of her distinguished career working with the Grasse-based fragrance house Lautier, which was later acquired by Symrise. She is primarily recognized for her work during the mid-20th century, a period when she became one of the few prominent female noses in the industry.
She is best known for composing the original formula for the iconic fragrance Carven Ma Griffe, launched in 1946. Her work is often characterized by a classic French approach to perfumery, blending traditional floral structures with the sophisticated, refined compositions typical of the post-war era of haute couture fragrance.
