Marc-Antoine Corticchiato

Marc-Antoine Corticchiato is a French perfumer of Corsican heritage who holds a doctorate in the chemistry of perfume plants. After working for several years in laboratory research and development, he founded his own independent perfume house, Parfum d’Empire, in 2003. His work is deeply influenced by his Mediterranean roots and his academic background in raw materials, allowing him to maintain complete creative control over his compositions.

Corticchiato is widely recognized for his bold, evocative style, often utilizing rich resins, spices, and herbaceous notes to explore themes of history, empire, and nature. His best-known creations include the leather-centric Cuir Ottoman, the incense-heavy Wazamba, and the vibrant, citrus-forward Corsican homage, Eau de Gloire. Beyond his own brand, he has also composed fragrances for various niche houses, including Anatole Lebreton and MDCI Parfums.
