Robert Bienaimé was a prominent French perfumer active in the early 20th century, most notably serving as the house perfumer for Houbigant. He succeeded the legendary Paul Parquet at the company, where he demonstrated a mastery of blending floral notes with the emerging synthetic molecules of the era.
Bienaimé is best known for composing the iconic fragrance Quelques Fleurs (1912), which is widely credited as the first true multi-floral bouquet in modern perfumery. In 1935, he founded his own eponymous perfume house, Parfums Bienaimé, creating scents such as Éveil and Vermeil before the brand eventually ceased operations.
